The Colchagua Valley is located between the southern latitudes of -34º 15' - 34º 50' , and the eastern longitudes of 72º 00' - 72º 15', 130 km south of Santiago . This incredible valley is surrounded by the Andean mountain on the east, and the Pacific Ocean on the west which, together with a costal mountain range running north to south, divides the valley into three distinct areas: the Andean Pied Mont, which is characterized by a cool wind coming from the mountains of eternal snow; a warm central zone; and finally a costal area, influenced by the sea air. The seasons are clearly marked: cold and wet winters, compared to dry summers with quite clear skies and lots of sunlight, producing temperatures that range from 30°C in the daytime to 12°C at night. The combination of an excellent climate with different soil types that are irrigated with melted mountain ice, make the Colchagua Valley a true paradise for quality winemaking.
